Do you have a car park?
We offer free car parking to guests at the rear of the hotel, please note that parking is limited on a first come first served basis.
The post code for the Swan Hotel is BA5 2RX. To access the car park, drive down Sadler Street with the hotel on your right and turn in just past our main doors. The entry to the car park can be quite tight, but follow the driveway through and this will lead to our car park. We have an EV charging point about halfway down the car park on the left hand side.
Are you dog friendly?
Your four-legged friends are very welcome to visit the Swan, however we do have a few house rules.
Firstly, dogs are welcome in all areas excluding the hotel’s main restaurant. You are welcome to dine with your well behaved dog in the Bar, Lounge or outside on our Terrace.
In regards to staying with us, we do have several rooms which we allow dogs to stay in, please phone us direct to book a dog friendly room on 01858 438300.
There is a charge of £15 for up to two dogs, per night.
Accessibility
Due to the age of the building we are unable to fit a lift into the hotel. We only have three ground floor rooms at the hotel which are situated in separate buildings behind the hotel. Please do get in touch if you need to request a ground floor room/lower floor in the main hotel.
Our restaurant and bar facilities are all on the ground floor.
What time is check in and check out?
Check in time is from 3pm on the day of your arrival.
Check out is by 11am on the day of departure. It may be possible to add a later checkout for £20, please ask at Reception upon your arrival.
What time is breakfast served for residents?
Monday – Sunday 07:00am – 10:00am
Location
The Swan Hotel sits directly opposite the Cathedral and is ideally located in the center of Wells. Close by you will find many charming independent shops and tearooms, as well as plenty to explore, such as the Bishops Palace, and Vicars Close – The oldest Residential Street in Europe.
